The Basics
All players must use a KT Eraser or Chaser .43 Cal. marker in the event.
Purchase a Kingman Training Eraser or Chaser from March 1 thru November 30, 2011 to earn a free entry towards playing in the 2011 KT Challenge. Eraser marker and Chaser Player’s Pack purchase earns credit to play both events, 1-on-1 Competition and Target Shoot for FREE. Chaser marker purchase earns credit to play your choice of one of the events for FREE.
After purchasing your Kingman Training product return to this page to complete the Online Registration Form. It is required that you submit a scan of your original Bar Code (UPC) and purchase receipt when submitting the online registration form. If you are not able to scan your original Bar Code (UPC) and purchase receipt you can download the KT Challenge registration form and mail it to Kingman along with your original Bar Code (UPC) and purchase receipt.
Existing KT marker owners who purchased prior to March 1, 2011 are eligible to participate in both the 1-on-1 Competition and Target Shoot for a $50 registration fee. Players can choose to participate in one of the events for a $25 registration fee. Existing KT marker owners aren’t required to complete the online registration form, we will accept walk-on same day registrations while availability lasts, each event limited to 300 participants. Entry fees will be collected on the day of the event.
1-on-1 Competition
The KT 1-on-1 Competition will be played inside the 50′ inflatable KT Arena. Individuals that register will be matched with other competitors in a bracket style competition. Games will last for 1 minute where the first player to mark their opponent or grab the center flag to their corresponding color will advance to the next round. This will be a double elimination format which allows all players a second chance at the grand prize up until they are eliminated twice. The last player standing will take home the grand prize of $2,000 at each of the KT Challenge events. The contest bracket will be established after all entries are submitted and posted on site the day of the event. Limited availability up to 300 participants max per event.
- Qualifying players at the end of each round/day will move onto the semi-finals.
- The semi-finals will be a double elimination tournament until only two players remain.
- The finals will be a best of three.
- Matches can be won by shooting the other player out or by having the center flag swung to players color at the end of the match.
- In the event of a tie where the flag was not pulled and neither player was shot both players will be credited with a loss.
- In the event of a draw, where neither player was marked and the flag was not swung as time expires, a sudden death match will be played. If the sudden death match comes to a draw again; a winner will be determined by a coin toss.
1-on-1 Rules
Start – Players will start at each end of the field and marker must be touching start line. Player will be given a 5 second warning. Match will start on whistle.
Objective – Players will attempt to mark their opponent. Once a player is marked the match will end.
Flag – On the center of the field will be a flagpole with a Green and Silver colored flags. Players may swing flag to his/hers color. If no one is eliminated and the match goes to time players whose color is up on the flagpole will win the match.
Time – Players will have 1 minute to complete match.
Draws – In the event of a draw, where neither player was marked and the flag was not swung as time expires, a sudden death match will be played. If the sudden match comes to a draw again, a winner will be determined by a coin toss.
Finish – Game over will be signaled by whistle and all shooting must stop.
Qualifiers – The top qualifying competitors for each day, 1st, 2nd and (3rd) day of competition will qualify for finals on the final day of competition to compete for the grand prize of $2000.
Equipment
KT Pistol Markers – Only Kingman Training Eraser or Chaser markers are allowed to be used in both KT Challenge events. Players may use a single un-modified Kingman Training .43 Caliber pistol. No loaner markers allowed, marker serial number must match with the registered owner.
Magazines & Pouch/Holster – Players may carry any number of magazines. Player can carry spare magazines in a pouch, pocket or utility belt. All players must be self equipped and have their own supplies.
Paintballs – Only Kingman Training .43 Cal. paintballs may be be used in both events. Either orange or yellow fill. Players must provide their own paintballs on the day of the event to compete.
Marker Velocity – Markers may not exceed a velocity of 250 feet per second. All markers will be chronographed at a chronograph station prior to start of each game.
Layers and Padding – Players must wear only one pair of full-length pants and only a long-sleeved top. Players may wear only one layer of underclothing consisting of, at maximum, one pair of under-shorts and one short or long sleeve t-shirt, provided that it contains no padding, except for Kingman Training or Spyder chest protector, and at its furthest point, does not hang lower than the inseam crotch area. Players may not wear sweatshirts. Any other soft padding in garments is prohibited.
Headgear – Players may wear headgear to protect the head. Player’s headgear may not extend more than one inch below the shoulder blades. Players may not wear bandanas and/or handkerchiefs anywhere other than on the head or neck. NO BOUNCE CAPS!!!
Gloves – Player may wear a single pair of gloves, with or without full fingers. Gloves may be padded.
Prohibited Materials – Players may not wear jerseys and or pants which are made out of highly absorbent material, such as felt or fleece, or of a highly padded or slick nature, such as nylon or rubber.
Metal Cleats – Players wearing metal or ceramic cleats or cleats that may injure other players or damage the playing field (e.g., puncture a bunker), will not be allowed onto the playing field and must grind down the cleats where they will not cause any bodily injury or damage to the field.
Facemask/Goggles – Players, officials and any other individuals present in a goggle-safe area (e.g., the playing field and Chronograph-station) must wear goggles with full-face protection manufactured for use in paintball games in its original form. Goggles must meet or exceed ASTM standards for eye protection and lenses be in good repair. Goggles must have adequate ear protection. See ASTM Standard F1776.
Protective Padding Separate from Clothing – Players may wear one layer of protection, over or under clothing, protecting the lower body parts, provided that the padding has not been modified from the manufacturer’s original form. The following protective padding has been approved for use:
(1) Groin protection
Neck Protection – Players may wear neck protection consisting of single layer of neoprene type material. Neck protectors must cover the neck only and may extend a maximum of 1 inch pass the collarbone. Players may wear a bandana as long as the bandana is rolled up and does not pass the collar bone.
Barrel Blocking Devices – Markers must have a blocking device that meets or exceeds ASTM Standard F2271 over or in their barrel at all times that the marker is in any ungoggled area.
Squeegees – Players may carry multiple squeegees and/or swabs. Players may carry anti-fog cloths or spray.
Target Shoot
The Kingman Training target shoot top score event will be played inside the Kingman Training Shooting Cage where competitors will take aim at targets to accumulate the highest overall score for the event. Competitors are allowed two (2) KT Magazines which hold 18 rounds of .43 Caliber paintballs. Each player is allowed 18 shots maximum to accumulate the highest score while shooting at targets marked with a point value depending on the level of difficulty. There will be a 1 minute time limit for each player to complete their round. The player with the highest overall score will be awarded the $1,000 grand prize at each of the KT Challenge events. A target shoot-off will be scheduled in the event of a tie. Limited availability, up to 300 participants max.
Target Shoot Rules

Time Limit – A 1 minute time limit is set for each competitor to complete their turn.

Ties – In the event of a tie in the qualifying round or finals, a 9 round (1 magazine) shootout between the competitors will be scheduled to determine who will move forward in the competition.
Legal
a. Events are run by the event organizer; Kingman is not responsible for any changes or cancellation of the event. In the event that the KT Challenge is cancelled from the event promoter, Kingman is not responsible and marker refund will not be issued.
b. Please check the KT Challenge website for any event changes or updates; it’s your responsibility as a registered player to check the website for the latest event information. Kingman is not responsible for players that miss the event due to schedule change.
